How to choose the right Hybrid pool heat pump

Hybrid pool heat pumps come in varying sizes and heating outputs in BTU/h.

  • Hybrid 55
  • Hybrid 65
  • Hybrid 85
  • Hybrid 100
  • Hybrid 115
  • Hybrid 130

It's important to know that the heating output of a heat pump varies with the outdoor air temperatures. The heating output of a heat pump will be lower as the air temperature drops. We have taken this into consideration in the chart below.

If you wanted to choose one size smaller heat pump than indicated on the chart, it would be sufficient to maintain a constant temperature of 86 degrees F throughout the regular season. But we recommend you follow the chart below to get maximum benefit and heating economy.
